Compared to last week: Sentiment was largely mixed among calves and feeders this week. Largely due to the quality and limited offering of beef cattle. However, there were a few loads of pre-conditioned steers and heifers that helped prop up the market. Slaughter cattle remained steady and active. Again this week, several lots of dry cows are coming in off short grass as high temperatures and winds continue to dominate the weather pattern. there have been heavy storms in the area but it seems the moisture cannot overtake the continued drought. There will be no sale next week in observance of the Independence Day weekend. Have a safe and fun time celebrating the 250th birthday of our United States!!
