Compared to last week: There was a good turn out of quality cattle. 500# steers and heifers were in demand, bringing 20.00 higher. Few comparable sales on steer and heifer calves but there was a higher undertone noted. Slaughter cattle continue to rise with average yielding boners and breakers 10.00 higher. High yielding cattle keep creeping closer to the 2.00 mark. Trade was active on high demand headed to the holiday. There will be no sale here next week, July 3rd. Have a safe and happy Independence Day!
