Todays weekly sale was held in conjunction with the Livestock Marketing Association's World Livestock Auctioneer Contest/Championship. Thank You to the Livestock Marketing Association, Dickson Regional Livestock Center and Riley Livestock for hosting the event, all of the producers that brought livestock, and all the buyers that attended and participated. Trends this week reflect sharply higher prices due to great demand from buyers all over the region in support of LMA's WLAC and also good supply and quality of cattle. This sale was closed last week in observance of Memorial Day so it is compared to the last sale from two weeks ago. Compared to the last sale Feeder Steers 7.00-15.00 higher; Feeder Bulls 5.00-12.00 higher with 450-550 lbs. Bulls 18.00-20.00 higher; Feeder Heifers 7.00-12.00 higher; Slaughter Cows 4.00-7.00 higher; Slaughter Bulls 5.00-7.00 higher.
