The best market comparison from last week's much smaller sale, was Heifers, 850-1000lbs, 8.00-10.00 higher. The market was active for today's offering of mostly open heifers and spring born calves. Shots on spring calves were mixed, with some carrying both spring and fall, and others with just spring. Several load lots and large packages were offered from producers coming to town a little earlier than usual because of drought conditions. However, some of today's offering had some tagg from the much needed rain in the area overnight. Demand was good for both calves and yearlings, with a lot of the regular buyers back in the seats for the opening of fall run.
