Compared to two weeks ago: Steer Calves 550-600, 11.00 higher; 600-650, sharply higher; 650-700, 7.00 higher; 700-750, 13.00 higher; 750-850, sharply higher. Heifer Calves, 500-550, mostly steady; 550-700, sharply higher. Nice offering of calves on a very chili day, with temperatures below zero. Most were home raised with full sets of shots, and fully weaned. Steers sold on good demand, and heifers, very good. Most of the heifers were likely headed back to a breading program, with many of them coming in with a Bangs tag. Lots of buyers in the seats and on the internet vying for todays nice offering of quality calves.
