Compared to two weeks ago: Most weights of Steer Calves were lightly tested from last weeks smaller sale, but were trending sharply higher. Heifers 500 - 550 lbs were 12.00 higher; 600 -750lb were 10.00 to 12.00 higher. Other weights were not well tested. Very good demand for this offering of home raised, fully vaccinated calves. Several large packages and load lots sold on an active market with buyers in the seats and on the internet. Several consignments of Bangs vaccinated, nice heifers brought premiums prices and were likely headed back to a breeding program. Warm, dry weather in the area has helped with the good condition of the calves sold today.
