Compared to two weeks ago: Steers 550 - 650lbs sold 18.00 - 20.00 higher; 700 - 750lbs sold 12.00 higher. Heifers 550 - 600lbs were mostly steady; 600 - 650 lbs, steady to 2.00 higher. All other weights were to light to test. The market was active, with most calves home raised, weaned and vaccinated. Load lots and larger packages were in demand bringing premiums on the few available. There were some cancelation because of the bitter cold weather that continued in the area. The next sale will be 1/26, a bred cow special, selling all classes. It will be the last sale before a week off for the Black Hills Stock Show.
