Compared to two weeks ago: Steer calves under 900 lbs were too lightly tested to develop a market trend, however steady undertones were noted. Steers 900 - 950 were steady. Lighter weight heifer calves were also lightly tested, with steady undertones. Heifer calves over 650 lbs had a stronger trend at steady to 2.00 lower. A nice offering this week, offering mostly spring vaccinated and newly weaned caves. The market was moderate and demand was light to moderate. The next sale, a calf special, is Oct. 7, with an expected 2500 calves, and a 9:00 am start.
