The last reported Feeder Cattle Sale was three weeks ago, so a market comparison can not be made; however, lower undertones were noted. There was good demand for load lots and large packages of feeder steers and heifers. Most of the offering was home raised, weaned, and fully vaccinated, with light to moderate flesh. Several packages of heifers were Bangs vaccinated, and selling primarily because of feed costs. Last week's small sale due to weather conditions had the buyers in the seats for this bred cow/feeder sale. The load lots were in demand, selling on a very active market. The next sale is March 11, and is a feeder cattle and replacement heifer special.
