Compared to last week: Steers 350-400lbs, sharply lower; 400-450lbs, 15.00 higher; 450-650lbs, 7.00-10.00 lower. Heifers 350-400lbs, sharply lower; 400-500lbs, 17-20.00 higher; 500-550lbs, unevenly steady on a light test from last weeks smaller count. Nice offering of mostly spring calves, along with a few, mostly preg checked open yearling heifers. Most of the calves were carrying both spring and fall shots. Quality was mixed, and most sold on moderate demand. A few lots of replacement type heifers sold on a more active market. There will be two calf sales next week: Wens. Oct 7, starting at noon, with over 1000 consigned to date, and Friday, Oct. 9, starting at 9 a.m. with a long string of consignments.
