Compared to two weeks ago: fewer steers this week, with the best comparable weights 550-600lbs, 10.00 higher; 650-700 unevenly steady. Heifers 500-550, 15.00 higher; 550-600lbs, 15.00 lower on a light test; 600-650lbs, 7.00 higher; 700lbs and up, 18.00 higher, with some fancy bred ones selling over 20.00 higher. Demand was good for today's offering of mostly weaned and fully vaccinated calves. Most of the heifers came in with bangs vaccinations, and many of them were likely headed back to a breeding program. Market was very good for the larger packages and load lots offered. Flesh condition was mostly light to medium. Warm weather continues, with producers wondering when the moisture is coming. However, we are seeing calves on the ground in the area and the sunshine makes for easy calving.
