Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Receipts for the steers and heifers continue to be of different weights making it difficult to make an accurate comparison. Price trend remains steady with calves that lack precondition shots holding on the lower end. Flesh conditioned ranged today from deep bodied to thin fleshed. Sellers appear to be keeping their heifers back with the majority of receipts being steers. The moderate market today will hopefully see more of an active pace with the next Spring Calf Special on Friday 18, 2019.
