Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 3.00 lower. Good demand for this nice offering of high quality grading, very attractive steers and heifers. As the boxed beef trade has gained substantially, and the CME Live Cattle contracts found some support and turned higher, packer buyers were more active in their bidding this week. 8 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads. Weighing condition ranged from fair to full, fair overall as there were a lot of overnight cattle in.

Slaughter lambs under 110 lbs 10.00 to 20.00 lower, 110-120 lbs 20.00 to 25.00 higher, 120-130 lbs mostly steady, over 130 lbs 5.00 to 15.00 higher. Slaughter ewes 10.00 to 20.00 lower. Very good demand for more traditional weight lambs, good demand for the non-traditional of which there was a very large supply of. Slaughter ewes 10.00 to 20.00 lower. Feeder lambs sold with lower undertones. Another very large offering of sheep. The market was active throughout the sale.
