Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter steers and heifers 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Moderate demand for this nice offering of high quality grading steers and heifers. Not all packer buyers participated, but those that did were willing to give more money to get cattle bought as the Live Cattle futures keeps climbing. Cattle hides were a little dirty at times after the snowstorms that came through last week, weighing condition ran towards the full end of the spectrum as cold weather is keeping cattle heavily consuming feed. 8 full loads of steers, 5 full loads of heifers.

Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs 5.00 to 10.00 higher, instances of 20.00 higher on non-traditional weight lambs. Slaughter ewes rather steady. Good demand for this large offering of slaughter lambs, very good demand remains for slaughter ewes. Very good demand for the bred ewe offering. Good demand for feeder lambs.
