Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Good demand for this lighter offering of steers and heifers. Two way buyers were very active this week as the feeder cattle market is so competitive, these buyers were quick to step in and buy cattle that could use more days on feed. 3 loads of steers, 3 loads of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads.

Slaughter lambs steady to 5.00 lower. Slaughter ewes mostly steady. Good demand for slaughter lambs, very good demand for slaughter ewes as the supply was limited. A lighter run of sheep this week after the very hot, humid weather brewed up 2 consecutive nights of severe storms across a large area.
