Compared to last week: Fed steers steady to 2.00 higher, heifers 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand for this eye appealing offering of slaughter cattle was good. Black hided cattle are in biggest demand creating price gaps. Premium was shown for non implant and program cattle. Holstein angus cross cattle are selling right up there in price with the straight beef cattle. Estimated dress cost 290.00 - 298.00. CME Live Cattle closed lower while Corn took a jump. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Bulls steady to 1.00 higher.

Traditional weight slaughter lambs 5.00 to 15.00 lower. Demand for for this large eye catching offering was moderate. Black face, heavy built with good fleece was the biggest factors influencing bidders decisions. 70 lbs - 90 lbs sold with higher undertones. Slaughter ewes steady to higher undertones, with it difficult to make a meaningful call due to light test last week.
