Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and dairy steers sold steady. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower and slaughter bulls sold steady. Bulk of the run was black hided cattle and most were home raised. Demand was moderate to good for slaughter cattle on a very humid and hot day. Estimated dress cost for choice steers is 289.00-290.00.

Traditional weight slaughter lambs sold 10.00 lower. Slaughter ewes and kid goats sold unevenly steady. Demand was moderate to good. Several top quality, eye appealing slaughter lambs on hand with many coming in with an overnight stand.
