Compare to last week: Slaughter steers to few to make a meaningful comparison, heifers sold steadyish. Holsteins to few to make a meaningful comparison. Demand for this small offering was moderate. Most cattle carried a fair amount of tag due to the up and down weather we have been seeing the last few weeks. Rain yesterday followed by dropping temperatures and snow with high winds made travel less than desirable made for a light offering. Most of the cattle were hauled in over night. Several full loads lots of heifers offered, with weighing conditions favorable for the buyer. Non Implant and Drug free cattle did not show a significant premium like last week. CME Live Cattle and Corn were lower. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Bulls steady to 4.00 higher.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Demand for this light offering was moderate. A couple lots of new crop lambs brought a premium. Slaughter ewes steady to 10.00 higher with instances of 20.00. Good 2-3 black face ewes were in big demand today. Buyers were willing to pay a premium for them. Goats were in high demand today.
