Compared to last week: Slaughter steers in a light test steady to 1.00 higher, heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Holsteins steady to 1.00 lower. Demand for this nice offering of cattle was good. A few cattle were carrying a bit of tag creating a price gap. Black hided cattle in biggest demand also creating a bit of a price spread. Estimated dressed cost 223.00 - 229.00. CME Live Cattle closed lower while corn jumped a little higher. Slaughter cows Breaker and Boner steady to 2.00 higher, Lean steady to 1.00 lower. Slaughter bulls in a light test steady to 2.00 higher.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs: Steady to 5.00 higher. Demand for this large offering of sheep was good. Several large lots of sheep weighing under 100lbs today. Slaughter ewes 15.00 to 25.00 lower.
