Compared to last week: Slaughter steers1.00 to 2.00 higher, heifers steady to 1.00 higher, Holstein steers 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand for this light offering of clean, hard fed cattle was moderate. Boxed beef continues to climb in the 3 bills, Packer buyers still not interested in chasing the market today again. Demand was high for black hided steers and non implant cattle. Estimated dressed cost is 189.00 to 193.00. CME Live Cattle is down today, as well as corn. Slaughter cows Breakers 3.00 to 4.00 higher, Boner steady, Lean 2.00 higher. Slaughter Bulls to lightly tested to make a meaningful comparison.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs 4.00 to 6.00 higher, lighter weights 100-149 lbs sold with much higher undertones again this week. A light offering of traditional weight slaughter lambs again this week keeps the demand high and prices up. Very large offering of light lambs again this week. Demand was good for all weights of lambs this week. Slaughter ewes Good 4-5 steady to 5.00 lower, Good 2-3 4.00 to 8.00 lower, Utility 21.00 to 25.00 lower, Cull test to light to make a meaningful comparison.
