Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 1.00 lower, Holstein steers 1.00 lower. Good demand for this very attractive offering of hard fed, high quality grading steers and heifers. All packer buyers participated and the market was fairly active. Estimated dressed cost ranged from 158.00-162.00, few to 165.00. 14 full loads of steers, 6 full loads of heifers, balance part loads and small packages. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower, bulls steady.

Traditional slaughter lambs 10.00 lower, lambs under 100 lbs sold sharply lower. Slaughter ewes 15.00 to 30.00 lower. Feeder lambs not well tested last week for comparison. Demand on slaughter lambs this week was much lighter, the market was not near as active as a week ago as there were fewer buyers participating and those that did were intent on buying lambs at lower money. Demand for slaughter ewes was also much lighter than last week, only moderate. Good demand for feeder lambs.
