As filed

Compared to last week: A much lighter offering of slaughter steers and heifers, 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Holstein steers steady. Light demand from packer buyers this week, fewer buyers present and even fewer willing to bid. With the sharp drop in CME Live Cattle futures packers were determined to buy cattle lower. Cattle continue to carry a tag on their hides, some very dirty, many carrying about one-half percent. Weighing condition rather full, estimated dressed cost 194.00-198.00. Slaughter cows sold steady compared to last Wednesday's sale, bulls not well compared but a higher undertone evident.

Slaughter lambs 6.00 to 8.00 higher, ewes not well compared but higher undertones noted, feeder lambs not well tested. Good to very good demand for slaughter lambs. Good demand for slaughter ewes and for the few feeder lambs offered. Light to moderate demand for bred ewes.
