Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers mostly steady. Moderate demand for this lighter offering of fed steers and heifers. The quality grade remains very high, and are very eye appealing as they have been fed a long time. Packer buyers still are not showing any interest in pushing the market higher. Two way buyers stepped in a pushed bids along, and bought some cattle that could go now or put another 100 lbs on. Weighing condition was fair, quite a few cattle in overnight. 9 loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads.

Slaughter lambs steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder lambs not well compared. Slaughter ewes unevenly steady. Good demand for slaughter lambs. Demand moderate for feeding lambs, not as many farmer feeders on the seats looking for light fleshed lambs to feed. Good demand for slaughter ewes as the offering remains limited.
