Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers not well compared on this much lighter offering, fleshy heifers sold with lower undertones. Moderate to good demand for this light offering of steers and heifers. A couple of long strings of backgrounded yearlings, ranged in flesh from light and attractive to heavy fleshed, balance smaller consignments offered in packages and part loads. The market was active on the light fleshed cattle that looked to gain efficiently, while the cattle in heavy flesh were much harder to sell. Summertime BBQ feeder sale next week expecting 5,000-6,000 feeders.
