Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 650 lbs mostly steady, instances of 10.00 to 15.00 higher on 500-550 lbs, 650-850 lbs 5.00 to 13.00 higher, over 850 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 700 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 higher, instances to 30.00 higher under 500 lbs, over 700 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. Very good demand for this very large offering of home raised steers and heifers. Quality was very attractive throughout the sale. Many long strings, ample smaller consignments as well, including full load lots. The market was incredibly active as there were a lot of farmer feeder buyers on the seats who were ready to buy cattle. The cash fed cattle market finished the week at 233.00, some at 234.00, along with gains in the futures complex and sharply lower corn futures helped to add some additional enthusiasm to an already stout feeder cattle market. Special feeder cattle sale tomorrow, Tues. Jan. 13, 2026 expecting another large offering.
