Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers unevenly steady. Very good demand for this nice offering of feeder steers and heifers. The market was very active on the lighter weight cattle, still active on the bigger finishing types. Several longs strings offered in full loads and multiple load lots of backgrounded cattle, flesh condition moderate to moderate plus on those kinds. Buyers are watching flesh condition very closely as breakeven prices are very high. Light to moderate flesh on the lighter home raised cattle. Lower cattle futures again today, but corn futures continue to slide lower helping to give support to the feeder cattle market.
