Compared to the sale last week: Limited number of light steers both weeks. Steers 850 lbs sharply higher today, 950 lbs 6.00 higher. Heifers 650-750 lbs 7.00-13.00 higher, 850 lbs mostly steady, 900 lbs 4.00-6.00 higher. Most of the sale consisted of load lots of both calves and yearlings. A lot of cattle coming off the grass today. Prices were driven up, as order buyers competed for the load lot consignments. Slaughter cows: Light test of slaughter cows today. No Breaker cows. Not enough Boner cows last week for comparison. Lean cows steady to 1.00 higher today. Not enough bulls last sale to compare.
