Compared to last week: Fluctuations in the CME market late last week made for an uneven market today. Light steers 550 pounds were steady, 600-750 pound steers 11.00 + lower. Yearling steers 850 pounds were steady, 950 pounds 8.00 lower. Light heifers 500-550 pounds 4.00-8.00 higher, 600 pounds steady, 650-750 pound heifers 10.00-12.00 lower. Yearling heifers 800 pounds 8.00 lower, 850 pounds steady. Many load lots of yearlings and light cattle. Lighter crowd today, as beautiful weather provided an opportunity to finish corn harvest. Demand was moderate.

Slaughter breaker cows were steady. Boner cows 2.00 higher. Lighter test on lean cows showed steady to instances lower. Too light test on bulls for comparison.
