Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 1000 lbs sold with steady to lower undertones, over 1000 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 lower. Feeder heifers 600 - 650 lbs and 850 - 900 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, other weights sold with steady to lower undertones. The 1100 lbs steers this week compared to last week weighed up a little different. This week they were a little fuller than last week, hauled in Sunday vs Saturday. Demand for this nice offering was good. Hot weather forecasted and no rain in sight for this week had several farmers worried about feed costs in the future today. CME Live Cattle closed higher, while corn fell a fair amount. Slaughter cows in a light test sold steady to lower undertones. Slaughter Bulls sold with lower undertones.
