Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Steers weighing 650 lbs - 700 lbs sold with much lower undertones, heifers weighing 650 lbs to 750 lbs sold with higher undertones this week. Demand for this nice, eye appealing offering of green cattle was good. Biggest demand was for black cattle creating wide price gaps. Most cattle hauled in over night. Increased input costs at the feedlot level could be driving costs lower. CME Feeder Cattle trending lower, while corn is jumping again this week. Slaughter cows Breaker 2.00 to 4.00 lower, Boner to few to make a meaningful comparison, Lean 5.00 to 7.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 9.00 to 11.00 lower.
