Compared to last week: Yearling feeder steers steady to 5.00 lower, yearling heifers 3.00 to 5.00 lower with instances of 5.00 to 10.00 lower on 750-850 lbs. Few spring born calves offered this week, too few to offer a price comparison. Demand for yearlings more moderate this week as the cash fed cattle market retreated last week and CME Live Cattle contracts losing more than 3.00 today. A large offering of feedlot backgrounded yearlings, several very long strings including one string of more than 900 steers. There were many full loads and multiple load lots in the offering, flesh condition moderate to moderate plus. The market was not as active as cattle feeders approached the feeder market with more caution than in recent weeks. Slaughter cows unevenly steady in a narrow comparison, bulls steady.
