Compared to last week: Feeders steers unevenly steady, feeder heifers 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Very good demand for the strings of high quality spring born calves, good demand for yearling steers and heifers although quality was not as attractive and flesh condition was heavier than last week. There were many buyers on the seats wanting to buy these calves, whether they were fully preconditioned or not, which created a very active calf market. The market was not as active on the yearlings as it has been in recent weeks due to the quality difference this week. There were some yearlings off grass, which sold readily, while the majority were out of backgrounding yards and in a moderate plus to even heavy flesh condition. Slaughter cows 2.00 to 3.00 lower, except Breaker cows steady, bulls 2.00 lower.
