Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Sale not recently reported due to Seasonally low trends, therefore no market comparison may be made. Very Good Demand with several new faces in the seats for the Annual Anniversary Yearling Sale and BBQ Lunch. There were several long strings and many load lots and packages of Feeder Steers, Feeder Heifers, and Tested Open Heifers which all sold on a very Strong, Active Market. Much of the Offering was Home Raised and the Entire Offering came off grass and carried Light to Moderate Flesh. Grass around the area seems to be holding up well despite the recent heat but hay production has been varied through out the area. Grass Cattle owners are hopeful the gains will continue to be good as this grass cures and this strong market continues into the Fall Run. Next Feeder Cattle Sale is August 13.
