The last reported Feeder Cattle Sale was three weeks ago, therefore no market trend may be determined. Very good demand for Several Load Lots and Many Part Loads and Packages which all sold on a Very Strong, Active Market, especially for Replacement Heifers and Feeder Cattle suitable for grass. The Feeder Steers and Feeder Heifers consisted of both Home Raised and Purchased cattle carrying light to moderate flesh. The weigh-up was mostly favorable but there was some mud and tag due to the recent warm weather. There were several sets of Replacement Heifers in the Offering today, mostly consisting of heifers sired by Deep Creek Angus genetics and selling as a feature of the Deep Creek Angus Bull Sale which sold 69 bulls for an average of $12,246.00. With a little moisture in the ground there seems to be strong optimism in Ranch Country! The Next Feeder Cattle Sale is March 14.
