Compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 550 to 599 lbs 15.00 to 20.00 higher, 650 to 699 lbs mostly steady, 700 to 749 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Best test on heifers 550 to 599 lbs 3.00 higher. Good to very good demand for this offering of packages and loads of both home raised and backgrounded steers and heifers. A few packages and loads of replacement heifers met with very good demand. Varied quality, especially on packages, from plain to attractive. Flesh ranged from light to some heavy flesh at times and some fill at times also. An active market with the most activity on heifers to go back to the country. Warmer weather has made some muddy yard conditions, however, calves were clean and open haired today. Few feeder cattle expected next week and bred cattle on Thursday, February 26. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, March 5.
