First reported sale in recent weeks so an accurate price trend can not be established. A light yearling offering today featuring just a handful of loads and many packages of tested open heifers. All cattle came off grass in mostly light to moderate flesh, quality ranged from plain to attractive. Moderate to good demand with best demand seen for load lots. A moderate to active market with a lighter crowd of buyers and this week's uncertainty in the futures complex putting some pressure on the market. Quite a bit of rain fell in this area at the end of last week leaving roads and yards muddy for gathering and transporting cattle. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 2, featuring both yearlings and the first offering of spring calves.
