Compared to last week: steers 550 to 600 lbs and 651 to 700 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher, 601 to 650 lbs mostly steady, 701 to 750 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Heifers 550 to 700 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 higher with instances up to 6.00 higher on 550 to 600 lbs. Good to very good demand for today's large offering of many packages and loads with best demand seen for replacement quality heifers from reputation outfits, most of these selling in load lots. Flesh varied today, but mostly moderate to moderate plus, more flesh overall on the calves than seen last week. Quality mostly attractive today. An active market with buyers, farmer feeders, bull breeders, and producers in the seats and bidding was very aggressive on replacement heifers. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, January 28.
