Heifer calves 450 to 600 lbs mostly steady with instances 3.00 higher on 450 to 500 lbs, 601 to 650 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Moderate to good demand for today's large calf offering with best demand seen for reputation steers and heifers selling in load lots. Several packages of weaned calves available, weaned from 21 to 50 days, but the majority of the calves still coming off the cow. Flesh varied more than two weeks ago, from light to moderate plus. Some tag on some of the calves as the ground has not yet frozen and the recent snow and warm weather has made lot conditions sloppy again. A moderate to active market for the offering with order buyers and some farmer feeders in the seats. Heavy snowfall over the weekend has made the ongoing corn harvest even more difficult. Next feeder cattle sale is next Thursday, December 12. This will be the last feeder cattle sale of 2019.
