Compared to last Tuesday: steer calves 450 to 700 lbs mostly steady, instances 3.00 lower om 650 to 700 lbs. Heifer calves 400 to 650 lbs mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for today's offering of packages and loads featuring many Red Angus calves. Best demand seen for heifer calves suitable for replacements. One package of weaned calves offered, otherwise calves were off the cow. Flesh mostly light to moderate. Most of the calves had full preconditioning, some calves with only spring shots were discounted at times. A moderate to active market with a different crowd of buyers including several bull breeders interested in purchasing back their genetics. Harvest has made great progress in the past week and most soybean harvest is complete with corn harvest well under way. Weather remains cold and some of the area saw snow today. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, November 7.
