Too light an offering today compared to Thursday for an accurate price trend, steady undertones noted on steer calves. Very good demand for a handful of loads of yearlings and a few packages of tested open heifers, all off grass, featured in today's offering. Yearlings were in light to moderate flesh and some carried a little fill. Good to very good demand for calves. A few cancellations today due to rain and snow yesterday creating muddy road and yard conditions. Calves today were all off the cow and had at least one full round of shots in the fall. Quality mostly attractive and the offering featured quite a few load lots despite the limited number of calves. An active market on both yearlings and calves with plenty of buyers and farmer feeders in the seats for this seasonal Tuesday sale. Yesterday's precipitation has halted harvest and it will take a few days of sunny weather to dry things out. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 29, expecting 6500 calves.
