Compared to Thursday: steer calves 450 to 600 lbs 8.00 to 12.00 lower. Heifer calves not well compared today. Moderate to good demand for today's seasonal Tuesday sale featuring Red Angus cattle with best demand seen for heifers suitable for replacement. Quite a few cancellations today due to weather conditions, many areas saw snow accumulation with some rain and road conditions were slippery in places. A few loads and many packages of average to attractive quality calves made up the offering. All were off the cow and most had full preconditioning, some discounting occurred if a shot record was not available. A moderate market with a more limited crowd of order buyers attending, as well as a few farmer feeders and bull breeders. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 22, expecting 7000 calves.
