Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 650 lbs steady to 3.00 higher, 650-950 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 lower, over 950 lbs not well compared. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 550 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Very good demand for this nice offering of yearling steers and heifers, many full loads and multiple loads of light to moderate plus flesh cattle sold on a very active market as there were many buyers wanting yearling cattle. The weighing condition was as attractive as the flesh was for buyers. A large offering of calves this week, many were long time weaned and in a light to moderate flesh condition. The cold, wet weather has kept cattle from putting on flesh but the wet conditions have caused some cattle to carry mud on their hides. Quality was attractive throughout the sale. Next feeder sale will be Dec 19, expecting 4,000 head. This will be the last feeder sale for 2019. First sale of 2020 will be Jan 2, expecting 6,500 head.
