Compared to last week: best test on steers 850 to 899 and 1100 to 1149 lbs steady to 3.00 higher, 950 to 999 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Heifers not well compared. Another large offering of yearlings this week with cattle coming both out of yards and off grass. Very good demand for grass cattle, good to very good demand for lot cattle depending on flesh condition. Quality similar to last week with many attractive quality cattle to choose from and multiple loads available to fill pens. Some tag on cattle this week due to muddy pen conditions. A few consignments of calves offered today, all coming off the cow. Calves were met with moderate to good demand depending mostly on shot records and hide color, there was quite a spread in price at times. Many yards are not yet ready to take on calves and lots have become very muddy the last couple weeks. Several loads of calves available even with this limited offering. An active market on yearlings, moderate on calves. Sunshine has finally returned after the last couple weeks of cloudy, rainy conditions. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 7.
