Compared to last week: best test on steers 850 to 899 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher, other weight classes of steers not well compared. Best test on heifers 850 to 899 lbs mostly steady. Another large offering featuring mostly big cattle selling in strings and loads, a few packages of lighter cattle thrown in. Very good demand for light cattle to background, there are not many of these around this time of year. Good to very good demand for big cattle. Flesh and quality mostly attractive today. An active market with buyers wanting to fill empty pens while there is still a supply of feeder cattle to be had. A fairly quiet day today on the futures complex. The area has been getting some nice rains and grass and crop conditions are looking good so far. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
