Compared to last week: steers 600 to 799 lbs unevenly steady, 800 to 949 lbs fully steady except 850 to 899 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 lower. Heifers 500 to 549 lbs 3.00 to 10.00 lower, 550 to 599 lbs not well compared, 600 to 749 lbs unevenly steady. Very good demand for backgrounding or grass types today, good to very good demand for finishing type cattle depending on flesh condition. Another large offering this week with many loads and packages of home raised cattle and handful of loads of backgrounded cattle. Many attractive quality cattle to choose from in varied flesh condition, from moderate to heavy. A few loads and packages of replacement quality heifers offered which see very good demand. An active market for this offering. Very nice weather for this time of year which has caused some sloppy pen and yard conditions, however, most cattle today were clean and open haired. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 18.
