First reported sale in recent weeks so an accurate price trend can not be established. Good to very good demand for today's large offering of mostly backgrounded cattle selling in strings and loads including a string of 1800 black steers from one consignor. A few consignments of home raised cattle, mostly fall calves, on offer as well. Many attractive cattle to choose from in varied flesh condition, mostly light to moderate plus overall. An active market seen for this offering. Not many cattle moving last week due to the 4th of July holiday so buyers were ready to get cattle bought, taking multiple loads when offered to fill pens. The area has continued to see timely rains and grass and crop conditions look very good with the exception of some places which received hail. Most producers are busy making hay, the forecast for this week is sunny and hot.
