Compared to last week: steers 450 to 549 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher, 550 to 599 lbs mostly steady, 600 to 649 lbs and 700 to 799 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher, 650 to 699 lbs and 800 to 899 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers 450 to 599 lbs mostly steady, 600 to 749 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 higher. Good to very good demand for today's large offering featuring many loads and packages of both home raised and backgrounded cattle. Many attractive cattle to choose from in various flesh condition, more flesh overall on the cattle this week. More tag this week as well as the temperatures have been in the 40's all week and yards are melting and getting sloppy. An active market with both buyers and farmer feeders determined to get cattle bought. Grass type cattle remain a hot commodity as these types get less every week. Nice weather expected to continue into next week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 7.
