Around half as many cattle as last week with best test on steers 850 to 899 lbs and 950 to 999 lbs mostly steady. Best test on heifers 900 to 949 lbs mostly steady. Lots of packages and just handful of strings and loads made up today's offering. Good to very good demand for loads, moderate to good demand for packages. Quality varied quite a bit, especially on packages, less attractive quality overall than seen last week. Flesh ranged from light to moderate plus with some heavy flesh at times. Several packages coming off grass, mostly due to dry conditions. A moderate to active market seen for this offering. Very hot and windy weather at the beginning of the week with cooler weather and chances of rain forecasted for the rest of the week. Some saw rain today, many areas are getting quite dry. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 28.
