Compared to last week: best test on steers 800 to 949 lbs 6.00 to 11.00 higher, 1000 to 1049 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Best test on heifers 700 to 749 lbs and 850 to 899 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 higher. Very good demand for today's offering. Cattle of every variety offered today, from light fleshed grass types to feeding type cattle with some flesh as well as fall calves and replacement type heifers. Quality most varied on packages, loads and strings were mostly average to attractive in quality. An active market with lots of competition to own cattle. Corn futures had another day of loss today which is adding to already high optimism for the fall cattle markets. Grass and hay conditions look excellent in the area. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, May 24.
