Compared to last week: steers 500 to 650 lbs steady, 651 to 800 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher, 801 to 900 lbs mostly steady. Heifers 550 to 650 lbs mostly steady, 651 to 750 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Another large offering this week featuring many packages and loads of mostly home raised cattle. Quite a few green, grass type cattle again this week which were met with very good demand with black hided cattle seeing the best demand. Finishing type cattle see good to very good demand mostly depending on flesh condition. Quality similar to last week with many attractive quality cattle to choose from. Some tag again this week but cleaner hides than last week. An active market for this offering with both buyers and farmer feeders in the seats. High winds overnight and into today with some mixed precipitation farther east had some travel impacts today. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 22.
